At our last visit to Disney our day at Magic Kingdom got extremely hot. We were in the new Fantasyland second in line to meet Gaston who would be arriving at any moment. But the kids were waning quickly and complaining like crazy over how thirsty they were and I decided to hop over to Gaston’s Tavern to get a drink to share and in fell in love with the little souvenir stein and ordered a LaFou’s Brew.
Sam’s eyes lit up when he saw it and immediate began guzzling. When I saw him make the dreamy eyes I knew I had to try it. My taste buds were lighting up and although it tasted great, I couldn’t put my finger on all of the flavors but a lovely cast member said she knew the ingredients and shared them with me and I used those to make this recipe!
You will need:
2 cans of frozen apple juice concentrate
One can full of cold water
Lots of ice
2 tsp of vanilla extract
4 squirts of toasted marshmallow Torani syrup
For whipped topping:
1 cup Heavy whipping cream
3 tbs of sugar
4 tbs of mango juice (we used a Welches Mango Blend)
Make the whipped topping first! Mix it all in your mixer until the peaks form on your whipped cream. You don’t want this topping to be overly sweet as when it pairs with the apple concoction it will get most of its magic when they meet!
Mix your frozen apple concentrate, ice, vanilla and syrup until it is an icy slush.
Pour into glass and add whipped topping and allow them to mix. It ends up as a creamy slushy glass of yummy!
This amount served our family of five with extra to spare!
I know that this will be a hit dessert for is this summer or whenever we need a little Disney magic in our day!
