I have always loved pennants. When I was growing up my brother had pennants all over his room of all of the teams in Major League Baseball in the 80’s. Of course, we could always find sports and city pennants we could never locate one that was of my interests. So, 30 years later I decided to create my own DIY Pennant Tutorial!
To begin, I decided on my word and typed it into Adobe Illustrator. Play around with the size that you like and to make the shape distort you need to go to envelope warp and choose the arc shape making the horizontal slide go to -50%.
Next you can print this and use it as a template to cut your fabric, or you can use the a cutting machine. I saved my file as a PNG and then opened in my my Silhouette software and let it do the cutting for me.
I used heat transfer vinyl and chose the flocked option in the settings and went with the suggested blade setting of 4. It cut within a few minutes and weeding this design went very quickly as it was super simple.
